The Hertford Branch of the RNLI

is a group of volunteer fund-raisers in Hertford. We do not regularly sponsor any particular lifeboat or station but pass the money we raise to the RNLI central funds.

We have four principal fund raising activities:

(i) A one week door-to-door collection early in July, followed immediately by a Saturday morning flag day collection in the streets of the town.

(ii) A Christmas market in late October, selling RNLI branded cards, calendars, souvenirs and other merchandise and whatever else we can get - cakes, plants and so on. Usually featuring also a raffle and a tombola

(iii) A spring market late in March, similar to the Christmas one but not selling Christmas cards!

(iv) Maintaining permanent collecting boxes in shops, pubs and anywhere else people congregate.

In addition, we run various ad hoc events as time and resources allow.

Why not come and join us - we are always looking for volunteers. If you have any ideas for fund-raising events, can help with existing ones or can offer a site for a permanent collecting box those would be especially welcome but just general help is always needed.
